AREA3 provided project engineer services working with Metro Trains Melbourne on the Newport Stabling Yard Project.
Our team played a key management role in the delivery of a tram and train maintenance training facility, 6 stabling roads and the construction of an amenities building for the train drivers.
AREA3 joined the project at the commencement of tender evaluation stage and was involved in the review and assessment of tenders, tender interviews and engaging the main contractor.
During the life of the project we were responsible for the administration of the main works contract on a daily basis. This included the assessment, processing and monitoring of variations, assessment of contractor project claims, raising contract instructions and monitoring the construction program.
Following the highly successful launch of Stage 1 of Global Switch Sydney East, we chose to extend our relationship with AREA3 from Stage 1 into Stages 2 and 3 due to their professionalism, knowledge of mission-critical infrastructure projects, and the high quality of their work
