RMIT joined the Greener Government Buildings program in June 2010 with the aim of reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2020.
As project managers for the $100m+ program, AREA3 was responsible for the management and implementation of capital works required to achieve target emissions reductions.
The capital works were delivered through a contract executed between RMIT and a certified energy services contract organisation.
It was AREA3’s responsibility to co-ordinate the contractors and ensure that RMIT’s goals were understood, shared and implemented.
Following the highly successful launch of Stage 1 of Global Switch Sydney East, we chose to extend our relationship with AREA3 from Stage 1 into Stages 2 and 3 due to their professionalism, knowledge of mission-critical infrastructure projects, and the high quality of their work
